Green Elephant Dress: Target // Leather Jacket: H&M // Silver Necklace: F21 // Board: Arbor // Kicks: Vans Leather Slip Ons

I love the outfit in this set because it represents contrast; my absolute favorite philosophical topic to discuss despite being the constant recipient of its discomfort, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. But even more so, the  contrast that exists within me. The cotton is a respectful bow to the polite, perpetually punctual, super detail oriented, systematic, rule-following, unwaveringly loyal, responsible, dependable, constantly growing me. The leather is a hard salute to the (only sometimes) bad ass, risk taking but secretly terrified, often insecure, impatient, impulsive, crying for no reason at all, laughing at inappropriate times, extremely vulnerable, mistake making woman I can also be. I love both of these parts of myself because they complement one another, and each of them have their pros and cons.  Without leather, one could not appreciate cotton (preferably the high thread count kind), and vice versa. Or without the “worst” parts of ourselves, we couldn’t really know and appreciate some of the best parts because we would have nothing to compare it to. Here’s to hoping you’re embracing ALL of you this week. xo Rebecca
